Raisa Lomonossowa, born on 12.7.1944 in Hamburg, died on 11.10.1944

Essener Straße 54 (formerly camp Tannenkoppel, Weg 4, also called "Tarpenbek = Forced labor camp of the armaments industry in Hamburg Langenhorn)

Raisa Lomonossowa was born in Hamburg on July 12, 1944. Her mother Darija Lomonossowa, born on April 5, 1918 in Taramowskaja, was of Roman Catholic faith and single. Deported from her native Russia, she had to perform forced labor for Hanseatische Kettenwerk GmbH (HAK) in Hamburg-Langenhorn since May 24, 1942. She was housed in the Tannenkoppel camp, Weg 4.

On the day of the birth of her child, Darija Lomonossowa was admitted to the women’s hospital Frauenklinik Finkenau, Hamburg-Uhlenhorst. Eight days after the delivery, on July 20, 1944, she returned to the Tannenkoppel camp with her daughter Raisa. In this forced labor camp, Raisa had to spend the short time of her life. The nutritional and living conditions were completely inadequate for her there.

On October 10, 1944, she was admitted to the Langenhorn General Hospital with the diagnosis "?". (In the hospital list, she is listed with the last name Wasusuna.) One day later, she died there at 2:15 a.m. on October 11, 1944. In the hospital's obituary, the cause of death is listed as "death by thymus" (sudden infant death syndrome) "according to the findings of the autopsy" and the signing physician is listed as "Frl. Steinbömer" (assistant physician Anneliese Steinbömer). According to this, her body had been used for research purposes without her mother's consent.

Raisa was 2 months, 4 weeks, and 1 day old.

Twelve days after her death, her burial took place on October 23, 1944 in the Ohlsdorf cemetery, grave location: Q 39, row 14, no. 15. Her grave is no longer preserved. At the end of 1959 it was buried together with at least 146 graves of children of forced laborers on site Q 39.

Darija Lomonossowa is registered in Langenhorn until January 4, 1945.
