Initiate a Stolperstein
Do you know someone who was persecuted under the Nazi regime and who lived or worked in Hamburg? You can help ensure that their story has a visible place in today’s cityscape.
Every Stolperstein begins with research into a person’s life story. Our team of volunteer researchers examines what information is available about the person and their persecution, and where their last freely chosen place of residence in Hamburg was.
Once the research has been completed, the process of having a Stolperstein laid can be initiated. The costs of producing and laying the Stolperstein are covered through a sponsorship.
