Stolpersteine commemorate people who were persecuted under the Nazi regime. Most of them were murdered. Some took their own lives in despair, while others survived.
Stolpersteine have been laid in Hamburg since 2002. This is made possible by people who are personally committed to keeping alive the memory of those persecuted under the Nazi regime. Sponsoring a Stolperstein is one way to support this important part of Hamburg’s culture of remembrance.
By sponsoring a Stolperstein, you help to make the memory of these people visible where they once lived.
A sponsorship is a one-time contribution of 120 Euro. This covers the production, transport and laying of a Stolperstein. As a sponsor, you will receive a certificate.

Donations and membership dues of up to 300 euros can be submitted to the tax office without a donation receipt, using the payment confirmation for the bank transfer (e.g., a bank statement) and the simplified donation verification form.
Donations over 300 euros must be documented with a donation receipt issued by the recipient, which we will gladly send you upon request.
